HOTEL VS RESORTS

What is the difference between a hotel and a resort? The main difference between resorts and hotels is in the amenities. You see it all depends on what your travel plan are, are your traveling alone or with family.

HOTELS

A hotel is an establishment designed with travelers in mind that provides sleeping accommodation. You can find many diffrent kind/ types of hotels. Some offer a continental breakfast and some only include the rooms. Some have great swimming pools and gyms. If you only need a place to sleep because maybe your plans are to spend the entire in the parks and will only need a room with a bed to sleep, then in this case a simple hotel will be fine for you. Be mindful to look at the time to check-in and check-out. Checkout is normally between 10am and 11Am so if your flight back is at 8pm then you maybe at the airport for a while.

When we traveled to central Florida to go to Disney I always stayed at a simple hotel just becuase I was always out at the parks and by the time we got back to the hotel we were so tired that it was lights out. The next morning we would leave to the parks at 6:30am, hey lets face it, we pay so much for the park tickets that we did not want to waste any valuable time. Im going to list the hotels we have stay in at a good price.

RESORTS

Resorts will often have game rooms, lounges and multiple pools. A resort offers more than just a hotel room, resorts offer more of a relaxing environment with plenty of activities for you as a guest. Resorts normally specialize in families that look to enjoy them selves while in the resort. most resorts offer all-inclusive packages where you can include all meals and drinks in the total price per day.

All-inclusive packages work great because once you pay that price you know that everything is covered and you don’t have to worry about how much you will be spending for meals and drinks.Yes, meals can get expensive specially when you are with a family.

Disney Hotels vs Outside Hotels in The Area

You will find so many different hotels and resorts outside the park area. When looking consider one may thing, will you be driving or will you be using uber/ lift to get around.I highly recommend looking on route 192 also know as W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy. This main roal is full of great restaurants, hotels, resorts. This area is just 1 to 3 mileaway from the Disney parks. If you stay in this area you are within walking distance to a high number of restaurants, shopping centers, banks and gas stations.

The good part about staying outside the disney area is that hotels are much cheaper and you have more choices of restaurants and your desire budget. The bad part is that since its outside the disney area you will not have free disney transportation. Some hotels do have disney park dropoff free but you may be on your own coming back. If you decide to take an uber or lif it should be about $10-$20 dollars. I highly recomend not to wait till the parks close to look for an uber or lift to get out of the disney parks because you may have to wait a good 45 minutes or longer, unless you schedule the pickup in advance.

WHAT TO DO BESIDES THE PARKS

OK so you spent 3 days at the Disney parks, stayed at a great resort but you want to go out and explore what else to do in the nearby area?. Check out these amazing places that are within a 45 minutes area of the Disney parks and hotels.

The entrance is based on vehicles upto 5 people in it pays a total of $5. yes five dollars entrance fee because its a state park. Before coming here be sure of 3 things, 1: come early as this is a popular local destination and the park gets to capacity quick and then they do not allow anyone else in. 2: Bring water shoes. This is a natural river with plenty of rocks, if you are like me it can get hard to walk around. 3: bring a tup. This is the best part of this park, you can use it as an natural lazy river so bring your own tube and float from one side of the park to the other. You can also rent one at s shop right outside the main entrance. They have place where you can buy food or you can bring stuff to grill on the park as they have multiple grills around the area.
